Nigeria’s Super Eagles drop two spots as Argentina lead in latest FIFA men’s ranking

Nigeria’s Super Eagles slipped two places in the latest FIFA world ranking.

In the latest ranking published on FIFA’s website on Thursday, the former African champions dropped from 40th to 42nd position.

The Eagles are not flying in the FIFA ranking due to their poor outings in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Nigeria managed to record two points out of a possible six against the Likuena of Lesotho and the Warriors of Zimbabwe.

In Africa, Nigeria maintained the sixth position despite the number of star players at the disposal of the team.

Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, and Egypt claim the top five teams in Africa.

Argentina remains the number one team in the world with 1855.2 points.

France, England, Belgium, and Brazil complete the top five.
