Lagos State APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, Galvanises Lagos State APC UK Chapter with Inauguration of Newly-elected Executives
In a fervent display of party unity and commitment to diasporic members, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, the Lagos State All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairman, led the inauguration ceremony of the newly-elected executives of the Lagos State APC in the United Kingdom.
The event, held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, was officially disclosed by the Chairman of the Lagos State APC (UK), Hon Tayo Shodeinde, in a statement released on Thursday November 23, 2023.
The inauguration ceremony, attended by distinguished party members, underscored the significance of the diasporic contribution to the APC global reach.
Pastor Ojelabi expressed gratitude to the newly-inaugurated executive members for their unwavering support and dedication to advancing the party’s interests in the United Kingdom.
“It is evident that the APC members here in the UK have not received adequate recognition for their contributions. Nevertheless, this should not deter us from delivering our meritorious services to the great party,” Pastor Ojelabi emphasised during his address, urging the executives to redouble their efforts and maintain their commitment to the party’s growth and development.
Also, Hon Tayo Shodeinde echoed Ojelabi’s sentiments and took the opportunity to commend party leaders in Nigeria, particularly acknowledging the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
Sodeinde expressed optimism in the party’s ability to deliver the dividends of democracy and extended appreciation for the overwhelming support of diasporic APC members for President Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
“We are confident that our esteemed party will effectively deliver the dividends of democracy,” he stated.
He added, “We also express gratitude for the substantial support from the diasporic members of the APC towards President Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.”
Hon Tayo Shodeinde went further in thanking some of our leaders from lagos most especially Mr Tayo Ayinde who has been so generous to the the diaspora chapter of APC.
Hon. Fuad Laguda the APC candidate for House of Representative, Surulere federal constituency 1 represented by Mr Olawale Ajasa said that the importance of diaspora contribution towards the development of Nigeria can not be overemphasised and He thank the organiser for this noble work and He also said in same vein that Hon Fuad Laguda is a friend of the diasporas and will continue to work with the Nigerians in diaspora for development.
The inauguration ceremony, marked by a spirit of unity and dedication, serves as a testament to the resilience and global reach of the All Progressive Congress, reinforcing its commitment to fostering a strong presence not only within Nigeria but also among the diasporic community in the United Kingdom.
