Kogi Poll: Ododo casts vote, salutes INEC show of sportsmanship

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Usman Ododo, has cast his vote in the ongoing off-cycle gubernatorial election in the north-central Nigerian state.
The APC candidate, commenting on the exercise, said the governorship election is going peacefully and orderly.
He made the remark after casting his ballot at his polling unit.
He praised the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for the show of good sportsmanship thus far.
Ododo said, “I commend INEC management for how far it’s going and as you can see the election is peaceful and orderly.”
The man who is seeking to replace Governor Yahya Bello is a former Auditor General for local government and a candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Born on February 7, 1982, in the Okene local government area of Kogi state, Ododo has been active in politics since his appointment as auditor general for local government in 2016.
