Former vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the February presidential election, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has explained that he would continue to refer to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a drug peddler, despite the respect he has for the Nigerian leader.
Datti Baba-Ahmed said this while featuring in an interview on Arise TV.
His outburst came shortly after the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the last election, Peter Obi, held a world press conference in Abuja.
“Showing Tinubu respect does not mean I will not call him a drug dealer,” he stated.
He said that Nigerians must recover their nation, noting that they have the right to reclaim the lost glory.
“Remove the guns from the hands of Nigerians and redirect them against the enemies of Nigeria; Nigeria must reclaim the country!
“Sovereignty and power belong to the people! Democracy is the right of those who can practice it.”
