Gov Sanwo-Olu awarded best supporter of comedy industry
In a remarkable recognition event held on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at the prestigious Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites on Victoria Island, Lagos, Governor Sanwo-Olu was bestowed with the distinguished title of “Best Governor for Supporting the Comedy Industry” at the inaugural Nigerian Comedy Awards.
The prestigious award was presented on behalf of Governor Sanwo-Olu by the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, who graciously represented the governor at the award ceremony.
She was joined by prominent figures in the field, including the Chairman of the House Committee on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Solomon Bonu, the Special Adviser on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, and the Special Adviser on e-GIS and Urban Development, Dr. Olajide Babatunde.
