EFCC urges school principals to collaborate in fighting against cybercrime
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has implored directors of secondary schools in Kaduna State to collaborate with the Commission in sensitizing the youth against financial crimes, particularly in the area of cybercrimes.
ACE I Aisha Abubakar, Acting Commander of Kaduna Zonal Command made the appeal during a one-day town hall meeting on the War Against Drug Abuse in Kaduna on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
The sensitisation talk for principals of secondary schools in Kaduna North and Kaduna South Local Government areas of the state was organized by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.
Speaking on the theme “The Role of the EFCC in Curbing Economic and Financial Crimes amongst Youths in Nigeria”, the Acting Commander highlighted the preventive measures taken by the Commission to discourage the involvement of young people in financial crimes but lamented that the situation was not helped by the complicity of some parents in cybercrimes.
