The Ogun State Government, OGSG, has reiterated its commitment to fight security threats and agents of insecurity in the state using every possible means, including aerial surveillance with drone technology.
Governor Dapo Abiodun stated that drone technology applications in surveillance is necessary to cover all hidden spots in the state.
Therefore, he ordered the commencement of training for personnel that would be in charge of drones meant to assist in aerial surveillance for security purposes within the state.
“This became necessary knowing fully well that it would be impossible for us to have enough boots to cover all the dark spots in the state,” the governor said.
Speaking further on the technology, he maintained that it would assist security agencies in their pursuit of crime related issues across the state.
