NASENI EVC/CEO unveils transformation agenda, directs staff dedication to duty
The EVC/CEO of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Mr Khalil Halilu has revealed plan to transform technology in Nigeria, stating that the topmost priority of his administration is to ensure technology transfer from developed worlds.
He made this known while receiving a staff briefing on the state of the agency at the National Headquarters in Abuja today.
Speaking after the discussion, Mr Halilu reiterated that his mission is to commercialize research and innovation, seeking the full support of staff.
Moreso, he also charged them to demonstrate total commitment to the new direction being charted for the agency. He added that his leadership will run an open system; therefore, every member should feel free to approach his office to offer improvement suggestions.
“The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) will run an open-door system that welcomes ideas and suggestions,” said NASENI boss.
Mr Khalil Halilu, 32, was appointed as the new Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NASENI by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the termination of Bashir Gwandu’s tenure on 2nd September, 2023.
Halilu has been said to be the founder and co-founder of the first eco-friendly tech hub in the whole of West-Africa, The CANs Park and ShapShap on-demand delivery app, OyaOya, the first on-demand commodity marketplace in the whole of Africa.
