Dapo Abiodun hosts FMWH minister, discuss timely intervention on federal roads
Ogun State Governor, H.E Dapo Abiodun has played host to the honourable minister of the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Mr. Dave Umahi, at the Government Quarters, Oke-Mosan, towards ensuring proper and immediate intervention on Federal government roads in Ogun State.
Mr. Abiodun reiterated that the federal roads in Ogun State, which are the highest in the federation and are plied by a large number of public and private people, needed urgent improvement to minimize the discomfort of users.
He stated that his administration is doing its part in rehabilitation and construction of the state’s roads and urged the FG to complement the effort.
“At our level, we have been doing our best by carrying out different forms of palliatives and in some cases, a total reconstruction of some of the Federal roads within our territory,” said Governor Dapo Abiodun.
Among the roads enlisted for rehabilitation are Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta, Sango Ota-Idi Iroko, Sagamu-Ogijo-Ikorodu, and Adatan-Gbonagun-Ibadan roads to mention but a few.
Umahi, while responding to the governor on his working visit, gave the assurance of proper attention to all the federal roads mentioned for the overall benefit of citizens.
