OPHK commander guarantees adequate security for Borno corps members

The theatre commander of the Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), Maj. Gen. GU Chibuisi has reassured graduates of Nigerian tertiary institutions at the Borno state NYSC orientation camp of optimum security.

Mr. Chibuisi disclosed this during his visit to the National Youth Service Corps Temporary Orientation Camp in Borno State which is situated at Mustapha Umar El-Kanemi Arabic College, Maiduguri, Borno State, on Thursday, August 24, 2023.

While at the camp, Brigadier General T. M. Opurum, the Commander 7 Division Garrison, briefed the OPHK commander on how they deployed security personnel to the camp.

Thereafter, the visiting commander highlighted his general observations of the camp conditions and directed fortification to ensure a hitch-free orientation training.

Moreover, the TC also used the opportunity to engage with Batch B Stream 2 Corps Members posted to the State.

In his remarks, the TC charged Corps Members to display a “high level of discipline, patriotism and respect for constituted authority.”

He further enjoined them to have a relaxed mind as he guaranteed them adequate security and the necessary support to ensure that they enjoyed their service year in Borno State.

Brigadier General Opurum was received by the State Coordinator of the Scheme, Comrade Mohammed Adamu Jiya, alongside Camp Commandant Major H Abdullahi.
