NGF, UNDP hold leadership retreat in Kigali, Rwanda

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has organized an executive leadership retreat tagged “Rethinking Leadership and Leading Systems,” in Kigali, Rwanda.

The programme, which is meant to redefine governance in positive terms, has several governors from different parts of Nigeria in attendance.

Among the attendees are H.E. Mohammed Umaru Bago (Niger State); Governor Ademola Adeleke (Osun State); Senator Uba Sani (Kaduna State); Mr. Babajide Sanwo Olu (Lagos State); among others.

Speaking at the event, Sen. Uba Sani maintained that the Retreat is intended as a “safe space” where newly elected governors can engage in experiential learning, collaborative exploration, and knowledge exchange.

He said that through input from renowned Nigerian and world leaders, governors can collectively reflect on how to lead and govern effectively during multiple complex challenges whilst grooming a supportive network for Nigeria’s transformation.

“The Retreat will afford me the opportunity of holding discussions with investors from across the globe who have converged on Kigali to explore possibilities of tapping into the huge potentials of different Nigerian States.

“Kaduna State has the potentials of becoming the leading investors destination in Nigeria. We hope to take advantage of this Retreat and seal a couple of agreements for the benefit of the good people of Kaduna State,” Senator Uba Sani noted.
