Oyo speaker, Hon Ogundoyin rolls out list of 10th House committees

The Oyo State Speaker of the 10th House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has listed out the names of committees.

He announced the standing committees, which consist of 24 names, during the plenary held today, Thursday, 17th August, 2023.

The honourable explained that the roles of House committees can never be understated in any successful administration, hence, the need for swift selection.

He added that the selection process was in line with the rule of law in the federal republic of Nigeria.

Hon. Ogundoyin said, “… the roles of all our Standing Committees are pivotal to the success of the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly.

“This is because they all perform the bulk of legislative duties and tasks.”

The chosen Committees were the Selection Committee, Rules and Business Committee, House Services Committee, Public Petitions, Justice and Judiciary Committee, Public Accounts Committee, Ethics and Privileges Committee and Information, Media and Public Affairs Committee.

The speaker also appointed seven special committees of the House.
