Breaking: Gov Zulum gives residents 1 bag of rice, 6 congo beans each as palliative
The exceptional governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum has turned out different again in his approach to lessening the sufferings of people necessitated by the removal of fuel subsidy.
As part of the implementation of his intervention plan, Zulum commenced sharing food palliatives in Fezzen ward, one of the proposed intervention in 15 wards of the Maiduguri Metropolitan Council.
“Distribution of palliative to the Fezzan ward of the Maiduguri Metropolitan Council as part of a continuation of distribution to the fifteen wards of the MMC,” report read.
It stated, “Two thousand male and female beneficiaries got a 50kg bag of rice and a 10kg bag of beans each.
The Distribution was spearheaded by the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Sugun Mai Mele, on behalf of the executive governor.
Citizens have lauded Governor Zulum’s approach, saying that his approach of palliative distribution would relieve people of hunger.
