PSG reinstates star striker Kylian Mbappe into first-team squad

Kylian Mbappe has been recalled into the first-team squad of the League 1 side, Paris Saint-Germain. The French side Mbappe’s recall via their official website on Sunday.

The club in a statement said, “Following very constructive, positive talks between PSG and Kylian Mbappé before the game vs Lorient, the player has been reinstated into first team training squad this morning.”

The club earlier said he will be frozen out and will not play until his contract expires next season.

Mbappe and PSG are locking horns over the failure of the club to recruit world-class players including Robert Lewandowski and Bernardo Silva as he was made to believe.

PSG received a £258 million bid from Saudi giant, Al-Hilal last month but Mbappe turned down the one-year deal.

The French side believes Mbappe has already committed to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.

Real Madrid, according to reports, sees the player as the perfect replacement for Karim Benzema who left the team at the end of this season.

Meanwhile, Marca reported that PSG has removed the striker’s image from the Parc des Princes Stadium and that the team shop has stopped selling his “7” jersey as the relationship between the player and his club continues to nosedive.
