First lady Oluremi Tinubu hosts D’Tigress

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has applauded the Nigerian female basketball team, D’Tigress, on their recent win.

She stated this while hosting the visiting team today at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Madam Oluremi Tinubu mentioned that the team has raised Nigeria’s profile high on the global map of excellence.

It would be recalled that on Saturday, 5th of August, 2023, D’Tigress defeated Senegal to win the 2023 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket Championship for the fourth consecutive time.

Madam Tinubu noted that ‘their performance on the basketball court is a testament to hard work, discipline, and commitment to excellence and this will inspire countless individuals, especially women, to pursue their dreams.”
