Court jails 4 internet fraudsters in Benin
The Edo State High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State, has sentenced four internet fraudsters to jail.
Justice M. Itsueli convicted and sentenced the convicts on separate counts bordering on fraud on Friday, July 14, 2023.

According to it, two of the convicts, Wisdom Osazuwa (18) and Oyegun Osadebamwen Godwin, were arraigned separately on one count of unlawful possession of fraudulent documents by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Benin Zonal Command.
“Upon arraignment, the duo pleaded guilty to their respective charges, prompting the prosecution counsel, Salihu Ahmed, to pray the court to convict and sentence them accordingly,” the statement reads.
It added that the other two convicts were arraigned and doomed to three years imprisonment or a fine of N200,000 each after pleading guilty to their charge of internet fraud.

Moreover, led by Justice C. A. Obiozor, the Federal High Court in Benin on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, also convicted and sentenced Louis Osadolor (24) to five years imprisonment.
Osadolor was prosecuted on a one count charge of fraudulent impersonation of a Brazilian woman and Bitcoin trader, Jucastrotrradefit, with intent to defraud unsuspecting victims.
