Shettima, first lady witness 9th National Assembly valedictory ceremony
The vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, and the first lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, have witnessed the 9th parting ceremony of the National Assembly.
Speaking at the event, which was held at the state house in Abuja on Saturday, June 10, 2023, the vice president expressed his gratitude to the entire senate for their support during his stay as a member and chairman of the senate committee on interior.
He said, “I want to thank the leadership of the Senate, my colleagues and the entire staff of the National Assembly for their support and understanding during our stay.”
Also in attendance were Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State and Deputy Governor Akon Eyakenyi, among others.
The meeting fosters deliberation on the 10th Senate leaders inauguration, which is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
