The management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) has banned the movement of unauthorized vehicles into the university.
This was disclosed after the management meeting held on April 18, 2023.
In a statement by the Lautech registrar, Kayode Ogunleye, the decision followed the incidents of traffic jam within the university premises.
The registrar mentioned that vehicles owned by students, and without registration numbers are no longer allowed to enter the campus.
He maintained that all temporary and permanent parking on roadsides should cease henceforth, otherwise, punitive measure will be taken on such vehicles.
“Tinted vehicles being used by some staff and students are hereby prohibited; and learner’s permit must be placed on the vehicdes of beginner drivers,” Ogunleye added.
He, therefore, called on the Chief Security Officer, CSO, and the Dean of Student Affairs to enforce the directive.
