Saudi Arabia declares Wednesday national holiday over victory against Argentina
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has declared Wednesday November 22, 2022, a public holiday.
The king gave his order to approve what was proposed by Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman that Tomorrow (23rd November 2022) as a celebratory holiday.
According to the order, the celebratory holiday is for all employees in the public and private sectors, students in all educational phases, on the occasion of the Saudi National Team’s victory against Argentina national team in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The Saudi Stock Exchange Tadawul also announced that it would suspend trade on Wednesday and resume it on Thursday in light of the public holiday.
The Green Falcons (Saudi Arabia’s Team) defeated soccer superstar Lionel Messi’s Argentina, the two- time World champions by 2-1, in the match held at Lusail Stadium in Qatar.

Saudi goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais did a superb performance with many saves, and he led the Green Falcons in proving that they are the real world contender at the packed Lusail Stadium.
He caught almost everything that came on his way in the match and foiled numerous desperate attempts by Messi and his team members to equalize the game in the last minutes.
