President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to working tirelessly for Nigeria’s peace and stability, emphasizing the importance of both hard work and prayers in nation-building.

Speaking to journalists after a special Juma’ah prayer session at the National Mosque in Abuja on Friday, held in commemoration of his 73rd birthday, the President expressed gratitude to God for his life and the opportunity to continue serving the nation.

“I feel good. I feel happy. I thank the Almighty Allah, who has protected us and continues to answer our prayers,” Tinubu said. “We have prayed for our country, for stability, and for peace. We prayed that Almighty Allah will safeguard our people and all citizens.”

The President, who will officially turn 73 on March 29, 2025, assured Nigerians that their safety and welfare remain his top priorities. He reiterated his belief in perseverance and dedication as the driving forces behind his leadership.

“The word for all of us is hard work. You work harder, and you pray harder. That’s the inspiration I got from today’s sermon,” he stated. “We thank God Almighty that at this stage, we are still in it and working.”

The special prayer session was led by Dr. Abdulkadir Salman Solagberu, the Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate, alongside other clerics who prayed for the President’s good health, strength, and wisdom to lead the country effectively.

Dr. Solagberu assured Tinubu of continuous prayers, emphasizing that a peaceful and stable nation is crucial for the development and well-being of its citizens.

The Imam of the National Mosque, Prof. Muhammad Kabir Adam, commended President Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu for their charitable efforts in assisting the less privileged during Ramadan. He urged Nigerians to extend goodwill beyond the fasting period.

“Mr. President, Allah is with you, and you will succeed,” Prof. Adam assured.

The Jumat service was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, ministers, service chiefs, and members of the President’s family.
