Breaking: Pandemonium as explosion rocks Ibadan, Nigeria’s South West
Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, was thrown into chaos as a loud explosion rocked the southwest Nigerian city on the evening of Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
The heavy sound of the explosion was reported in many areas of the city, including University of Ibadan, Bodija, Akobo, Mokola and Secretariat.
The cause of the destructive explosion has not yet been ascertained as of the time of this report.
Videos shared on social media showed some of the victims with wounds being rushed out of the scenes of the blast, while some houses were affected due to the impact of the explosion.
