Kwara House of Assembly passes Roads Fund and Administration Bill, confirms new commissioner

Kwara State Roads Fund and Administration Bill Twenty Twenty-Three has been passed by Kwara State of Assembly .
Under the law, State Roads fund and Administration Agency is to be established for the purpose of funding the management, planning, development, rehabilitation reconstruction, maintenance of class C and D roads in the State.
The bill was passed after the considering the Report of House Committee on Works and Transport on the State Roads Fund and Administration chaired Mr Waheed Gbenga representing Eesa Sawo-Igbodun Constituency during today’s plenary.
The bill was read third time by Clerk of the House Alhaji Abdul-kareem Olayiwola Ahmed prior to its eventual passage.
Engineer Yakubu Danlad-Salihu therefore directed Clerk of the House, Alhaji Abdul-kareem Olayiwola Ahmed to produce a clean copy of the bill for Governor’s assent.
Meanwhile, Kwara State House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of Miss Musa Nafeesah Buge of Baruten Local Government of Kwara State as Commissioner in the State Executive Council.
Miss Buge was asked to take a bow and leave and later confirmed as commissioner, having contributed immensely to the victory of All Progressives Congress APC in the last general elections.
Speaker, Yakubu Danlad-Salihu therefore directed Clerk of the House, Alhaji Abdul-kareem Olayiwola Ahmed to forward notice of the confirmation to the Governor.
In the same vein, Musa Atoyebi of APC, representing Odo-Ogun Constituency returned for second term and House sworn-in following his triumph at a competent court of law who declared him winner of this year’s State Assembly election against Otunba Taiwo Afolabi initially declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
