Former speaker, Dogara loses aged mother
A former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara lost his mother some hours ago.
The death of his mother, Mama Saratu Yakubu Tukur, was announced in a statement on Friday evening.
The former top lawmaker in the country said his late 103-year-old mother was committed to God and humanity while she was alive.
Dogara said, “it is with utmost gratitude and total submission to the will of God Almighty that we announce the transition to glory of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Mama Saratu Yakubu Tukur which occurred today, Friday, December 22, 2023, at the age of 103 years.”
The lawmaker who represented Dass/Tafawa Balewa/ Bogoro Constituency explained that funeral arrangements would be announced soon.
