FG appoints new NIMC, DTAC DGs

Following compulsory termination leave before the retirement of the former National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) Director General, Engr. Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, the Federal Government has commanded immediate resumption of Engr. Bisoye Coker-Odusote as the acting DG for the commission.

Coker-Odusote’s appointment as acting director will last for 90 days, starting on August 24, 2023, after which a full term of four years will begin as the substantive NIMC Director-General/CEO, beginning on November 24, 2023.

President Tinubu also directed the appointment of Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub as the new Director/CEO of the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC).

The direction is consequential to the recent expiration of tenure of the former DTAC Director/CEO, Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi.
