Antigraft agency nabs real estate agent for N500m land fraud

An anti-corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the founder/director of Zoe New Dawn Nigeria Limited on account of fraud allegations.

The Abuja-based real estate agent, Stephen Acheme Akpa, was accused of five hundred million naira (N500,000,000) in land fraud.

Earlier on December 2, 2022, the same Anka was arrested at his office in the Idu axis of Abuja following a petition for alleged N500,000,000 fraud under false pretense.

“He was to be arraigned on a five-count charge when he jumped the administrative bail offered by the Commission,” EFCC stated.

“All efforts to apprehend him proved futile until August 9, 2023, when he was rearrested,” it added.

The commission maintained that the criminal would soon be arraigned in court.
