Borno NYSC orientation camp sets to reopen after 13 years of closure
The national headquarters of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is ready to reactivate exercise at its Borno state orientation camp after being idled for 13 years due to the Boko Insurgence.
IGP Lawal Yusufu, Borno state commissioner of police, disclosed this today during an on-the-spot facility and environmental assessment of the camp.
He maintained that the police commission will work with other security agencies to ensure the adequate safety of prospective corps members who are to resume camp on 18th August of the current year.
In the company of the commissioner are top government officials, including the secretary to the state governor, Bukar Tijjani; the chairman of the NYSC governing board in Borno state, Mohammed Badiya; and the state coordinator for NYSC, Mohammed Adamu.
