Kwara gov gives N10,000 palliative to indigenous students

The Kwara State Governor, AbdurRahman AbdulrRasaq, has directed prompt payment of 10,000 naira to each indigenous student in any public tertiary institution in Nigeria.

Governor AbdurRazaq disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

According to him, the decision is in furtherance of his pledge to lessen the effect of fuel subsidy removal on citizens. In order to ensure that the palliative serves its purpose and reaches the root, he maintained that several coordinating committees, including representatives from the National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS) and the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), have been set up.
