Asoju Rere empowers IBO constituents, distributes over 40 motorcycles, 30 freezers, others
Hon. Olalekan Rasheed Afolabi (FCA), the former member of the House of Representatives for Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin federal constituency in Osun State, conducted a gratitude-driven empowerment programme for his constituents.
The event took place at his private residence in Ikirun on Saturday July 8, 2023, where various packages, including over 40 motorcycles, 30 freezers, and more were distributed.
During the empowerment programme, Hon. Afolabi stated that the initiative is aimed at appreciating the IBO constituents for their unwavering support throughout his tenure in the Green Chamber.
He acknowledged the exceptional qualities and dependability of the people in the IBO constituency, stating that they deserved even more.
“This empowerment is just a fraction of what the remarkable people of this constituency deserve. I must admit that they are truly exceptional and trustworthy,” Hon. Afolabi remarked.
He further explained that the empowerment programme was part of the pledges he made to the constituents, as he had previously undertaken similar initiatives in schools and conducted numerous empowerment programmes to enhance the quality of life for the people.
The former lawmaker assured the constituents that his commitment to empowerment was an ongoing endeavour, and he intended to extend the benefits to other artisans as well.
The constituents expressed their gratitude and admiration for Hon. Afolabi, showering him with praise.
Nureni Abidun Praise, a beneficiary residing within the constituency, commended the ex-lawmaker for his initiative and highlighted the importance of electing responsible representatives at both the state and federal levels.
“I’ve learnt from this empowerment program that it’s crucial to select responsible individuals to represent us, whether at the state or federal level,” Nureni Abidun Praise stated appreciatively.
Another beneficiary, Tijani Airat, also expressed her gratitude towards Hon. Afolabi.
She received a grinding machine and acknowledged the numerous empowerment programmes initiated by the former lawmaker for the benefit of the IBO constituents.
“Hon Afolabi has initiated lots of empowerment programmes for the benefit of IBO constituents,” she said.
The remaining beneficiaries echoed the appreciation and admiration for Hon. Afolabi, expressing their desire for other politicians to emulate his example and extend similar support to their communities.
Also at the event, Hon Afolabi was presented an Award of Excellence by his staff.
