Eid-l-Kabir: FG declares Wednesday, Thursday public holidays, felicitates Muslims across globe
The Federal Government has declared Wednesday and Thursday, June 28 & 29, public holidays for civil servants in Nigeria in commemoration of the 2023 (equivalent to 1444 A.H.) Eid-l-Kabir celebration.
This was contained in a signed statement by Oluwatoyin Akinlade, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, on Monday, June 26, 2023.
According to the statement, “The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, June 28th, and Thursday, June 29th, 2023, Public Holidays in commemoration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration and heartily felicitates with the Muslim Ummah at home and in the diaspora.”

It added, “We are hopeful that the prayers and sacrifices that come with this great celebration as well as the message of Eid-el-Kabir will bring about peace, unity and progress in Nigeria.
It concludes by congratulating Nigerian Muslims both at home and abroad on the auspicious occasion of the 2023 Eid-l-Kabir celebration.
