The founder of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Group, Subomi Balogun, has died
This was disclosed in a statement. According to the statement, Balogun passed away on Friday morning at age 89.
“The founder of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Group, Subomi Balogun, has passed away on Friday morning at age 89,” the statement said.
It added, “Balogun, who had celebrated his 89th birthday on Thursday, March 9, reportedly died in a London hospital after a brief illness.”
A direct descendant of Oba Tunwase of Ijebu-Ode, Otunba Balogun until his death held the chieftaincy titles Otunba Tunwase of Ijebuland, Olori Omoba of Ijebuland and the Asiwaju of Ijebu Christians.
