A Nigerian journalist, Adamu Usman Garko, has won Center for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) news reporting prize.

Garko disclosed this via his Facebook page on Saturday March 11, 2023.

“I have recently received a message from the Center for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) informing me of my success as the first-place winner of the 8th round of the “Report a Project” initiative,” he wrote.

According to him, the initiative is an accountability project which was inaugurated by CITAD with support from the MacArthur Foundation.

“CITAD has always been a haven of comfort, and the executive director, Dr. Yunusa Ya’u, has consistently served as an unwavering pillar of support, a model of excellence, and a beacon of guidance,” Garko said.

He, therefore, urged all eligible and interested individuals to peruse CITAD’s website and seize the opportunity to participate in the next round
