While tributes continue to pour in for fast-rising entertainer Sanku, who died following a fatal auto crash, concerns are growing over the plight of another victim, Sulaimon Olamilekan Olawuyi, popularly known as Wakili or Lekan, and three others in a critical condition in hospital, battling for his life with little media attention or public support.

The accident occurred along Ogbomosho Road and involved multiple occupants. Sanku died hours after being rushed to hospital, but Lekan survived with life-threatening injuries. Family sources say he urgently requires surgeries yet has been largely abandoned, with appeals now going out to well-meaning Nigerians to come to his aid.

Friends and fans have voiced frustration at the imbalance in media coverage, noting that while Sanku’s death has dominated headlines, the critical condition of Lekan, popular known as Wakili, and other 3 victims has been almost overlooked.

Popular skitmaker, Lateef Adebayo, expressed his disbelief and heartbreak in a social media post, “I still have confidence that it’s not true… the rumors must be prank… no God no… we need them alive, all the 4 victims… @Zanku @Wakili and the rest 🙏🙏🙏 Yah Allahu take control.”

Similarly, Facebook user Horllis Horlla Mide criticized the narrow focus on Sanku alone, stating: “They are even 4, cos the media was just particular about only Zanku… nobody knows he was with others in the car. Are others not important?”

The tragedy has now sparked broader conversations on how media coverage often elevates the most popular names in celebrity-related incidents while sidelining others whose conditions may be even more urgent.

For Lekan, the lack of timely attention could prove deadly unless immediate support is mobilized.
