Kwara Govt Takes Over Magnificent Adeta Primary School, Marks Milestone in Education Upgrade

The Kwara State Government has formally taken possession of the newly completed Adeta Primary School in Ilorin, describing the project as a testament to its commitment to revitalising public education infrastructure.
The impressive facility was officially handed over by the contractor on Thursday, 14 August 2025, to a state delegation led by top government officials. The atmosphere was charged with joy and pride as stakeholders expressed deep appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, for delivering yet another landmark project in the education sector.
In attendance were the Honourable Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe; Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Segun Ogunshola; Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Duties, Alhaji AbdulRazaq Jiddah; and the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) representative, Alhaji Abdulateef Sholagberu. Others included the Special Assistant on Women Mobilisation, Hon. Monsurat Lawal, and the General Manager of KWASSIP, Dr. Tejidini Abdulwasiu Olayinka.
The event also drew community leaders and traditional representatives, including the Emir of Ilorin’s envoy, Balogun Alanamu, alongside Alangua Adewole, Alhaji Yakub Yusuf Adewole, Alhaji Ghali Alaaya, and Mallam Abdulmajeed Temidire, popularly known as Aburo Gomina.
While the school is yet to be officially commissioned, the handover represents a key milestone in Kwara’s ongoing push to modernise learning environments and expand access to quality basic education across the state.
