Executive Chairman, Ifelodun Local Government, Set to Launch Ifelodun Youths Empowerment Scheme (I-YES)
In a bold move to tackle youth unemployment and promote self-reliance, the Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Hon (Alh) Hassan Kamorudeen Okanlawon is set to launch the Ifelodun Youths Empowerment Scheme (I-YES) — an initiative aimed at empowering over 1,000 youths across the local government area.
According to a statement from the Media Office of Chairman, Ifelodun Local Government Ikirun , the collection of free empowerment forms will officially commence at the Local Government Secretariat by 10 am on Tuesday, 22nd April 2025.
The empowerment program will focus on key sectors such as Teaching, Health, Agriculture, Environmental Sanitation, and Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). These sectors have been strategically selected to provide sustainable opportunities for youths while also enhancing service delivery across the local government.
The Chairman noted that the I-YES initiative is designed to complement the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, by building the capacity of young people and equipping them with the tools to contribute meaningfully to national development.
He urged all eligible youths in Ifelodun Local Government to seize this golden opportunity, assuring that the program will be transparent, inclusive, and impactful.
“This is a call to action for the vibrant youths of Ifelodun. Let us work together to build a future of possibilities and progress,” he stated.
