The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has officially announced the Hajj fare for the 2025 pilgrimage, setting ₦8.33 million for intending pilgrims from the Borno and Adamawa.

This was disclosed by NAHCON’s Executive Chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Usman, in a statement released by the commission’s Assistant Director of Information and Publication, Fatima Usara, on Monday in Abuja.

Prof. Usman stated that the fare had been approved by the Office of the Vice President following extensive consultations with stakeholders aimed at maintaining affordability and inclusivity.

“The 2025 Hajj fare for Borno and Adamawa Zone’s intending pilgrims is ₦8.33 million,” Prof. Usman confirmed. He further detailed that pilgrims from the Northern Zone would pay ₦8.46 million, while those from the Southern States are to pay ₦8.78 million.

“This modest effort on the fare was reached after extensive consultations to ensure inclusivity in this important decision-making process,” he added.

Prof. Usman extended his gratitude to the presidency, particularly Ameen Amshi, Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties, and the Forum of Executive Secretaries of State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, Agencies, and Commissions, for their support in reaching this decision.

The chairman also urged intending pilgrims to comply with Saudi guidelines, emphasizing early payment and timely registration to avoid last-minute complications.
