Video: New Bobrisky? Micra driver in Ibadan causes stir with unconventional attire
In Ibadan, a peculiar has become a subject of discussion – a Nissan Micra commercial driver dressed in women’s clothing while on his daily job.
The norm in the South-Western Nigerian city is for men to dress as one and not the other way round. This goes in tandem with both the cultural and religious values of the people of the ancient city with loads of brown roofs.
When questioned about his unusual attire by Ayo Adams, the driver offered a baffling explanation: he wears his wife’s outfits because of the rain. It’s unclear how this reasoning makes sense to him, but it has sparked a flurry of speculation among onlookers.
Some have suggested that the driver’s behaviour may be linked to rituals or superstitions aimed at attracting passengers into his vehicle. Others believe it could be a ploy to draw attention and court controversy. Whatever the reason, it’s undeniable that the driver’s choice of clothing raises eyebrows and sparks conversations.
