Just in: Two reported dead in Abuja as police, Shiite protesters clash (Video)
A violent confrontation between the Nigeria Police Force and Shiite protesters at Wuse Market in Abuja’s Wuse Zone 6 has resulted in the reported deaths of two individuals.
Reports say the situation escalated when police deployed teargas against the protesters, who in turn attacked the nearby Wuse Market Police station, as seen in circulating videos on X.
