Israeli attacks claim 141 Palestinians in Gaza as death toll surges to 38,600

The Gaza Strip has witnessed another  significant escalation in violence, with at least 141 additional Palestinian fatalities reported in recent Israeli attacks, according to the Health Ministry.

This brings the total death toll to 38,584 since October 7, 2023. Furthermore, the ministry stated that the number of injured victims has risen to 88,881, highlighting the severity of the ongoing conflict.

The statement said “Israeli forces killed 141 people and injured 400 others in three ‘massacres’ against families in the last 24 hours.”

It added that “Many people are still trapped under rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them.”

Despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire, Israel has continued its intense military operation in Gaza, drawing widespread international criticism.

The conflict, which began on October 7, 2023, after an attack by Hamas, has resulted in the devastation of large areas of Gaza, exacerbating a severe humanitarian crisis due to the blockade of essential supplies like food, clean water, and medicine.

The International Court of Justice has accused Israel of genocide and ordered an immediate halt to its military actions in Rafah, a city that had become a refuge for over a million Palestinians before it was invaded on May 6.
