EFCC renews zeal to tackle corruption, says ‘mega thieves will not be spared’

EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, asserted that the commission remains resolute in its pursuit of justice against economic and financial crime perpetrators.

Speaking at an anti-corruption concert in Abuja, aimed at bolstering public awareness and engagement in combating internet crimes, Olukoyede emphasized the commission’s unwavering dedication to upholding the law.

Since assuming office a few months ago, he highlighted the significant strides made and reiterated his commitment to a comprehensive and inclusive campaign against corrupt practices, ensuring that no offender escapes justice.

‘’We will not spare anyone. We will not spare the mega thieves. As we are doing the mega, we will also do those at the lower end.

“In the last two months, we have arranged two former governors.  So, it is not true that we are only focused on internet fraudsters.

“Of course, internet fraud is bad enough but our focus is on every form of economic and financial crimes”, he said.
