Peter Obi is ‘political olosho,’ says former Atiku-Okowa campaign spokesman
Daniel Bwala, a former spokesman of the Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, has labelled the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as a political opportunist and likened him to Judas Iscariot.
Bwala accused Obi of betraying the late Biafra warlord, Odumegu Ojukwu, and former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
He said this in response to a video he shared on his X handle where Obi promised never to dump the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
He wrote: “Take a listen to @PeterObi in APGA vowing if he leaves APGA let his family die; this is before he embarked on his political olosho.
“He has since moved from APGA to PDP to LP and is now planning to move to SDP.
“He betrayed Odimegwu Ojukwu, he betrayed Atiku Abubakar and now planning to betray Pat Utomi and co.
“This Easter period we celebrate the decorated Judas Iscariot. Hear in this video an Obi-erodent making excuses for him, but they would not understand with anyone else.”
Recall that Peter left the PDP in 2022 less than three days before its presidential primary election.
In a letter addressed to the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, Mr Obi cited “recent developments” in the party as his reason for leaving.
Dated May 24, in the letter with the title “Resignation from PDP and withdrawal from the presidential contest” Mr Obi noted that the nation’s challenges are deep-rooted.
“…Unfortunately, recent developments within our party makes it impossible for me to continue participating and making constructive contributions.
“Our national challenges are deep-rooted and require that we each make profound sacrifices towards rescuing our country.”
He later joined the Labour Party where he finished third in the presidential race that produced President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
