Just in: Nigerian court grants ex-CBN boss Godwin Emefiele freedom to travel out of Abuja
The Federal Capital Territory High Court has granted the request of the embattled former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, to travel out of Abuja.
The court, in its ruling, however, said the ex-CBN boss should not travel outside the shores of the country.
Mr. had his bail terms previously restricted to the Nigerian capital after he was granted freedom from prison.
Emefiele, through his lawyer, Mathew Bukka, had requested a variation of the terms.
Recall that Mr. Emefiele was released from Kuje Custodial Centre on December 23, 2023, 34 days after the judge admitted him to bail.
He is asking the court to review some terms of his bail conditions.
