Nigerian Army denies ownership of recruitment website, warns applicants

The Nigerian Army has denied news making the rounds that it has commenced recruitment for the Direct Short Service course.

This is contained in a statement by the Director of Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, on Tuesday in Abuja.

The statement noted that the online `Nigerian Army Direct Short Service (DSS) Recruitment Portal for 2023′ is fake and called on the public not to fall victim to fraudsters.

Nwachukwu noted that some fraudulent people built the fake website to cheat and mislead the public. He called on Nigerians, particularly applicants, to shun it.

“Accordingly, public members are urged to report any suspicious recruitment portal or activities to the NA.

“The army will continue to remain committed to ensuring a transparent and credible recruitment process through its established official communication channels.

The statement added that measures are ongoing to bring the fraudulent hands behind the fake website to book to serve as a deterrent to others.
