CCA demands troops to uphold discipline, professionalism

The Corps Commander Artillery (CCA) Major General Markus Kangye has demanded soldiers of 35 Artillery Brigade to remain committed to discipline and professional ethics.

Gen Kayode gave the order during his familiarization visit to Headquarters 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta on Saturday.

Speaking to the troops on ground, the CCA emphasised the need for discipline and respect for the rule of law as professionals who has undergone effective trainings.

“The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja has placed high premium on the welfare of troops evidenced in the recently proposed affordable housing scheme for soldiers, adding that the effort is aimed at boosting the morale of troops as well as to ensure they maintain high standard of fighting efficiency in all Nigerian Army operations across the country to rid the country of all criminal elements,” the CCA added.

He continued by charging them to shun any form of misconducts and fraternization with unauthorised persons especially during operations and to abide by the COAS philosophy.

Additionally, Maj Gen Kangye commanded active participation in seasonal trainings to enhance professionalism.

In a similar development, the CCA also visited 351 Artillery Regiment to receive briefing on the administrative and operational activities by the Commanding Officer in his office.

Highlight of the visit was presentation of souvenir, signing of visitors book, tour round the barracks and group photographs.
