Troops captures one escapee, recovers fighting items from IPOB agitators
Troops of 63 Brigade operating under 6 Division Nigerian Army have captured one escapee of the IPOB/ ESN agitators and recovered several fighting items.
The Director Army Public Relations, Onyema Nwachukwu, disclosed this on Saturday, July 22, 2023.
Recall, the soldiers of the same Nigerian Army had stormed and ravaged the terrorists handouts in Asaba in the early hours of today. While on further exploit and pursuit of the fleeing IPOB fighters, ‘they captured one wounded fighter and recovered several additional items from the criminals.’

Recovered items include four motorcycles, four double barrel guns, five AK 47 magazines, 18 rounds of live 7.62mm Special ammunition, 6 Mobile phones, two Power banks, six Boafeng Communication Radios and Chargers, an Android phone, one HP Laptop.
Others are 13 IPOB flags, IPOB Uniforms and accoutrements, one power generating set, one gas cylinder, two ATM cards and a wrist watch as well as five improvised beagles.
