Shettima, Zulum condole Alkali’s exit
Vice President Kashim Shettima and Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, among other top government officials, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Alkali, who died on Friday at the age of 57.
Olusola Abiola, Director of Information, Office of the Vice President, stated this on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
According to her, Muktar Alkali was a cousin of the Vice President’s cousin and former Provost, Borno State College of Agriculture, Maiduguri.

While at his residence, VP Shettima described the deceased as a seasoned public administrator and advocate for youth employment in addressing the menace of poverty and insecurity in the country.
“He was an advocate of youth employment as a way of addressing the challenges of poverty and insecurity in the country,” Shettima stated.
The VP joined other well-meaning Nigerians, Muslim clerics and traditional rulers, including the Shehu of Bama, Umar Shehu Kyari, in praying for the deceased to enter paradise.
