Train Accident: 53 patients discharged — Sanwo-Olu
Not less than fifty-three victims involved in the Lagos State train accident have been discharged after receiving adequate medical treatment.
The statement Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, confirmed this on Sunday March 12, 2023.
“I am pleased to report that 53 patients that were hospitalised after the bus/train accident in Lagos have now been discharged after receiving free and quality healthcare from different state medical facilities across Lagos,” the governor said.
Sanwo-Olu also appreciated Lagosians who donated blood to the victims, stressing that their generosity quickened the medical treatment.
“Heeding our call for blood donation, Lagosians demonstrated true humanity with over 300 units of blood donated leading to swift action that saved lives,” Sanwo-Olu said.
“While the discharged return to their families, let us continue to keep the hospitalized patients in our prayers,” he added.
Afri Reporters had early reported that a corps member was among those who died in the train accident.
