Kwara LG chairman engages Fulani associations, moves to strengthen local security measure

The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, held a special meeting with the Gan-Allah Fulani Development Association of Nigeria, Kwara State Chapter, and the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Kwara Chapter, at the Council Secretariat in Share on Monday.

The meeting centered on security issues and strategies to ensure that Ifelodun Local Government does not become a haven for criminal elements.

Chairman Femi Yusuf called for collaboration between the Fulani groups and the local government leadership to reduce security threats to a Zero.

“During my campaign, I promised that security would be my top priority, and I intend to fulfill that promise. I have approved several programs that will help identify and eliminate those engaging in criminal activities. We will flush them out of this local government,” He declared.

He also acknowledged the efforts of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, who has provided more resources to enhance security, and pledged to support the governor’s initiatives at the local government level.

The State Chairman of the Gan-Allah Fulani Development Association, Alhaji Ali Jowuro, expressed his commitment to working with the local government to combat the perpetrators of insecurity. “It is time to fight for our people,” he stated.

Alhaji Idris Abubakar, the State Coordinator of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, also voiced his full support for the council’s efforts to identify and address those causing disturbances in the local government.

Present at the meeting were Hon. AGF Salahuddeen, Hon. Nike Ajibola, Chief Ademola Zubair, Hon. Jimoh Garba, and other notable dignitaries.
