Celebration galore in Kogi as Governor Ododo approves N72,500 minimum wage

Kogi State government has just approved a new minimum wage of N72,500 for state civil servants and local government workers.

The exciting news was announced by Governor Usman Ododo while receiving the report of the State Minimum Wage Committee at the Government House in Lokoja.

The governor explained that this move is part of fulfilling his promises to serve the people, and it’s not just a victory for any political party, but for the masses. But that’s not all – Governor Ododo also announced consequential adjustments to benefit all categories of workers in the state.

This development is a significant win for workers in Kogi State, and Governor Ododo has reassured the public that the state government is committed to improving employees’ welfare and creating a conducive working environment.

He further announced a tax relief for all civil servants in the state for one year, a pronouncement that was met with loud applause.

“After looking at all indices, we have discussed and agreed jointly, and I have graciously approved the sum of N72,500 as the minimum wage for all categories of workers,” Ododo stated.

The Governor appealed to civil servants to rededicate themselves to the present administration’s agenda for the overall transformation of the state.
