MSSN co-founder Adepoju passes away
Alh. Muhammad Jamiu Ishola Adepoju, one of the founding members of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), has passed away this afternoon.
The news of his demise has left a deep void among friends, family, and the broader Muslim ummah. Alh. Adepoju was also recognized as the father of Alh. Yusuf Adepoju, known as ACADIP.
As tributes pour in, many are reflecting on his significant contributions to the MSSN and the impact he had on countless students and communities throughout Nigeria. In a heartfelt message, the organization’s Public Relations Officer, Abdulwasii Olayinka Siyanbola, extended prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul, stating, “May Almighty Allah accept his return and make Al-Janat Fridaos his abode.”
Siyanbola also offered condolences to the family left behind, expressing solidarity during this difficult time. “I use this medium to pray to Almighty Allah to be with the entire family he left behind and the entire Muslim ummah,” he added.
Alh. Adepoju’s Janaza (funeral prayer) is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Monday, August 12, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Ilobu Muslim Moqbara (cemetery). Community members and well-wishers are encouraged to attend and pay their final respects to a respected leader and mentor.
