Ikirun Development Association launches joint security task force

In a significant stride towards bolstering security and fostering development, the Ikirun Development Association officially inaugurated the Ikirun Joint Security Task Force (IKJTF) today.

This event marks a pivotal moment in the ongoing “New Ikirun” project, aimed at transforming the town into a safe and progressive community.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by notable figures and dignitaries, reflecting the community’s collective commitment to enhancing security. Alh. Mustafa Adeleke Olawuyi, PhD, National President and Coordinating Host, spearheaded the event.

High Chief AbdulKareem Adetoyese Lawal, the Eesa of Ikirunland, served as the Royal Host, while Asiwaju D. G. Lawal, DIG (Rtd) mni OON, took on the role of Chief Host.

Dr. Ismaeel Olasunkanmi Adeyemi, honored as the Father of the Day, and Prince Surveyor Timothy Oyetunji, the Chief Launcher, played significant roles in the proceedings. Prince Toye Adegboye chaired the occasion, highlighting the collaborative spirit driving the initiative.

The event also celebrated distinguished awardees for their contributions to the community and beyond. The honorees included:

Acknowledging the support of religious leaders, trade unions, associations, and artisans, the Ikirun Development Association extended congratulations to all residents of Ikirun for achieving this milestone in security architecture.

With the establishment of the IKJTF, Ikirun aims to ensure the safety and well-being of its residents, promoting peace and enabling comprehensive development across all sectors.

This initiative represents a collective effort to create a secure and thriving environment, aligning with the broader vision of transforming Ikirun into a model town.
